Data Loading

Who can upload imagery to the CID Archive?

Scientific Actions from the JRC can request to load their satellite or aerial imagery into the CID archive. If you wish to make use of the CID archive, please cid-contact [at] jrc [dot] it (send us a message). We will then analyse your needs in order to identify how the current setup of the CID archive might address them.

If you are working in an Action which has already established an agreement with CID, you are lucky! Someone from your team will be responsible for data uploading and you should contact him/her.

Loading data into the CID archive

There are two ways for uploading satellite or aerial imagery into the CID archive: using a standalone JAVA application or calling a web service.

If you need to upload time series in an automated way, either from inside or outside the JRC, you should use the CID data loading web service.

If you have to upload single scenes, you should use the CID data loading application. Please note that this application will only work if run from a PC connected to the JRC scientific network.

Please read the user manual before you start using the application.
